Arley MacKinnon started in the school photography industry in 2005 with a background in photography. She has spent this time focused on photography quality, picture day execution, photography program development, operations integration, talent and leadership development as well in the Territory Manager role.

Arley was a long-standing member of the PPOC (Professional Photographers of Canada) organization. During that time, she earned photography accreditations in Portraiture, Studio Portraiture, School Portraiture and Fine Art. She also earned her CPA (Craftsman of Photographic Arts) and MPA (Master of Photographic Arts) designations with the PPOC.

Outside of the school photography industry, Arley spends time working with the Dawson Trail Art and Heritage tour. Their goal is to not only preserve the past for future generations, but to bring together a diverse community of Metis, Indigenous, French and English Canadians, through education, culture and heritage. They are in the final phase of a multi-year project that will see to the development of roadside interpretive trail markers and exhibits along the historic Dawson Road. These will serve as tourism pillars to drive economic development, and support artistic, recreational and heritage programming within the communities served.
