Mike Fortin is a seasoned Sales & Operations Leader in the School Photography field, fluent in both official languages. With twenty years of industry expertise, he is committed to delivering exceptional customer service, continuous enhancement, and fostering team synergy. Mike's extensive background spans across Photography, Operations, and Sales, encompassing roles from frontline employee to senior leadership roles. His diverse experience equips him with the insights needed to drive successful end-to-end photography, yearbook, and apparel solutions for our partner schools, adding a specialized focus on Digital Identity solutions.
Mike embarked on his career journey in Northern Ontario as a Seasonal School Photographer for Lifetouch. Within a brief span, he transitioned into a dual role as a Photographer/Manager. During this period, Mike's leadership in motivating, supporting operations, and ensuring goal setting were accomplished, resulted in 100% retention for six consecutive years and consistent net growth annually.
In 2018, Mike relocated to Ottawa, where he assumed the position of Territory Manager, leading the business to an increase in retention and a decrease in staffing requirements, while enhancing team culture, resulting in the lowest attrition rate in Ontario. Mike advanced to the role of Area Manager for Eastern & Northern Ontario. Mike leveraged technology to help the team overcome challenges brought on by the pandemic by developing new communication methods, data sourcing and KPI tracking, providing Team Leaders with the ability to efficiently support their staff during this difficult time. Throughout his tenure at Lifetouch, Mike abided by a simple yet impactful rule: treating everyone, whether clients or colleagues, as his most valued customer.
After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration and accumulating three decades of experience in the photography and technology business, He emphasizes empowering the Sales team with the necessary support and tools for success and growth. His leadership ensures efficient and timely communication among all stakeholders, ultimately leading to heightened client satisfaction.
